Many of you know that I’ve cut back on traveling and events in the last year, however there are a few events each year that I just can’t miss.

Craft and Hobby Association

We just arrived at the Summer Craft and Hobby Association trade show in Las Vegas, today! For those of you who aren’t familiar with the event, it’s an opportunity for craft companies to come together to present their products to buyers from stores all over the country.

The summer show is quite a bit smaller  – mainly showcasing products produced by scrapbooking companies – but we’re excited to check out and bring you information on the latest and greatest in crafting. Ikea Catalog Sneak Peek Event

It’s become a bit of a tradition each summer to celebrate the release of Ikea’s new catalog together at the Ikea’s Draper, Utah store. Ikea has generously offered to host us all again this year on Wednesday, July 31.

Like last year, we will be coming together for a free breakfast in the cafeteria and each attendee will receive $25 to spend in the store that morning. Show us how you use the items you’ve bought creatively and you will be entered to win a $200 gift card to use at Ikea and a feature on their national blog. Say what?!

Of course, we always like to come back bigger and better so this year we’ve worked with Celeste (a.k.a. best marketing rep ever) to offer even more! Ikea will be working with bloggers to teach them about mattress care in a very short workshop and someone will win a new mattress!
