This post is dreadfully late…

I *meant* to write it this morning, but work got in the way. I *hoped* to get it up at lunch, but I got caught putting the finishing touches on a presentation. I was *determined* to post it from the airport, but I couldn’t find a free plug. Gah! Do things like this happen to you too?

Hours later, the Swap a Smile auction winner post is coming to you live from:

Okay. So I am not technically at the White House, but I did arrive in our nation’s capitol and one of my favorite cities – Washington D.C. – tonight. I am speaking at a conference tomorrow on social media best practices for business – sounds thrilling?

Truth be told, I am excited to be here and I am hoping to sneak in a visit to the new Martin Luther King Jr. memorial. Has anyone been there yet?

Anyway, I digress…

The winning bidder on our ticket for the Swap a Smile auction is Mandy at Sugar Bee Crafts and I couldn’t BEE happier. Mandy has been a long-time SNAP! supporter and I am thrilled to know that she will be with us in April!

If you haven’t had a chance, you’ve got to stop over to Sugar Bee Crafts and check out her projects:

You will not regret it!

This small, one week auction raised $1,317 – enough money to provide for about five and a half cleft lip/palate surgeries through Operation Smile. Simply AMAZING.

I continue to be so moved by the depth of this community. Seriously. I have been a part of some amazing things, but never have I witnessed such incredible generosity…

Speaking of, you will remember that a few weeks ago we posted about Sharlie? Well, just a little reminder that the shop is still open and new items have been added…With all those patterns, it’s a great place to gear up for the holidays!
